I happily inform you a very good news.

As you would be aware, our internship program (Sakura Science of JST) was
approved as a three-year program (2016-2018). As such, we would like to
start the call for application to the internship program for 2018.

We will select 10 students by the selection committee members of ERI. Since
the applicants need to attach a recommendation letter (#8 below) and to
specify a desired host researcher at ERI (#1), we believe that the selection
will be made rather reasonably, without much difficulty. So I would ask you
to encourage 1 student (or 2 maximum) to apply for our Sakura Science
Program.

The cost for transportation (flights and local), accommodation, daily
allowances will be supported by the program. As you can see the program
summary in the attached file, the program is scheduled from July 1 (Sun) to
21 (Sat), 2018, including lectures/training, collaboration with the
supervisors and a field trip (destination TBD, see attached draft program
plan).
An undergraduate (or master course) student who is interested in entering
the graduate school of the University of Tokyo is particularly welcome. We
strongly recommend that an applicant should contact a potential supervisor
at ERI before sending the application documents.

Please send the following information to us by March 23 (Fri.), 2018. We
will let you know the results by the end of April 2018.

Please visit our website to get information about the application. For your
convenience all the information is included in the following:
